Description

NGC660 is a polar ring galaxy and also considered a starburst galaxy due to the intense star forming activity in the center. It is believed to have collided with another galaxy a billion years ago. The polar ring has an inclination of about 45 degrees. It is located about 45 million light years away and is about 50,000 light years in diameter. It is located in the constellation of Pisces.
